Our Online Privacy Policy
The International Foundation for Education and Self-Help (IFESH) is committed to protecting the privacy and security of our website visitors. We have outlined our online privacy policy for information collected through our website and e-mail lists. If you have questions about these policies, we encourage you to contact us at ifeshinfo@ifesh.org.
Resale or disclosure to third parties:
We do not share or otherwise disclose any personal information, including our name, address, or e-mail address, with other organizations. Only IFESH staff and our authorized agents have access to personally identifiable information provided by visitors to our site.
Browser information collected on our website:
As with any website operator, the International Foundation for Education and Self-Help analyzes our website’s logs to constantly improve our website and tailors it to the needs of our visitors. We do not use this service to gather, request, record, require, collect or track any internet user’s information.
Privacy of our e-mail lists:
The International Foundation for Education and Self-Help maintains numerous e-mail lists to inform our e-mail users about programs operated or supported by IFESH. Individuals who provide optional information may also receive materials via the U.S. mail. We do not share information with anyone out side of IFESH staff or authorized agents. We configure e-mail software to refuse to divulge the e-mail addresses of our list subscribers to anyone but authorized IFESH staff and agents. Only IFESH staff and our agents have access to personally identifiable information provided by visitors to our site.
Children’s Privacy:
Because we care about the safety and privacy of children online, we comply with the children’s Online Privacy Act of 1998 (COPPA). COPPA and its accompanying FTC regulations establish United States federal law that protects the privacy of children using the internet. We do not knowingly collect personal information from Children. Our site is not intended to solicit information of any kind from children.
Security:
We have appropriate security measures in place in our physical facilities to protect our site from the loss or misuse of information that we have collected from you.
Credit Card Transactions:
Donate with confidence over our secure site powered by VeriSign through Entango. By using Entango-enabled services to make an online transaction, the credit card billing information, including the name on the IFESH supporter's card, billing address, and expiration date, is used to process the transaction. All this information is encrypted using SSL, industry standard secure technology. This encryption is designed to prevent theft or interception of the information.
Unlike retailers, who commonly keep complete credit card numbers in case there is a billing dispute, Entango stores only encrypted versions of IFESH supporters' credit card numbers. IFESH has access to only the last four digits of the number, and a transaction identification number issued by Entango for identification purposes. However, in a case such as a billing dispute, it may be necessary for the nonprofit to have access to the entire credit card number. In such a case, Entango will try to help IFESH resolve the billing dispute with only the encrypted number. If that is not possible, Entango ensures that the IFESH supporter's credit card number is released only to IFESH employees.
Transacting online with Entango will not open your credit card information to dissemination. Entango does not disclose, sell, trade, rent, or otherwise reveal nonprofit supporters' credit card information to third parties, including advertisers or marketers. This information is only used to process the transaction.
